Admissions Process

Manila Xiamen International School (MXIS) upholds admissions principles of fairness, transparency, suitability and continuum across all grades. Centered on the IB inquiry-based educational philosophy, we have established a standardised admissions process spanning PreK to Grade 12. We value not only students’ academic capabilities, but also their language proficiency, inquisitive spirit, cultural compatibility and alignment with family educational beliefs, crafting a personalised starting point for every learner.

III. Frequently Asked Questions

1.How do transfer students apply?

Transfer students may book assessments all year round, subject to seat availability. Registration will be completed within 14 working days upon successful assessment. The overall procedure is identical to that for new applicants of the same grade level.

2.What if a student has limited language proficiency?

We offer tiered EAL / Chinese as a Second Language support. Students are placed in suitable groups based on their assessment results and receive progressive coaching. This will not prevent admission.

3.What does tuition cover?

Tuition includes curriculum fees, textbook fees and on-campus activity fees. It excludes optional expenses such as uniforms and overseas study tours.

MXIS looks forward to meeting you and your child. Let language serve as a bridge and inquiry become a habit. Within our bilingual immersion and global-minded community, every student grows into a lifelong learner with cultural confidence and global competence.
