Our mission

Since its founding in 1993, Manila Xiamen International School (MXIS) has upheld its core mission: “Integrate Eastern and Western educational wisdom, nurture future leaders rooted in cultural heritage and equipped with a global perspective.” Rooted in Xiamen’s international education landscape, the school stays true to its non-profit founding aspiration.

We firmly believe that true international education represents the symbiosis of academic excellence and character development, and the synergy between cultural identity and global competence. To this end, we build a rigorous yet open academic ecosystem founded on the IB Diploma Programme framework. We uphold the high standards and innovation of international education while committing to the inheritance and expression of Chinese cultural roots. Through bilingual immersion instruction, classic Chinese studies courses and cross-cultural practical activities, every student can understand diverse civilizations and consolidate the foundation of cultural confidence.
We strive to create an inclusive and mutually learning community for students from 36 countries and regions across the globe. Students of varied backgrounds learn to respect differences through collaboration and build consensus through communication, fostering their cross-cultural collaboration capacity rooted in the philosophy of “Each flourishes in its own beauty, and all thrive together in harmony.”
